Initiated by Swiss beer pioneer Martin Wartmann, this company has about 14 employees and is the only in the country with the brewery located in an abbey. Brews many core beers, seasonals and limited editions, many of them in strong Belgian-styles.

Named Actienbrauerei Frauenfeld between 1904 and 1996. Hosted the first Back & Bräu between 1989 and 1996. Production was stopped between 1996 and november 2003.
Since 2013, they have an additional restaurant in Winterthur (but the beers are only brewed in Frauenfeld).
Brewing on a 5hl installation which will be doubled until 2022.
