Principaly wine consumers, the people from Hungary are also drinking a decent amount of pale lagers. Since the fall of
communism, foreign breweries have invested a lot in this country and are controlling now the whole market (SABMiller, InBev and Brau AG).
Hungarian beers are not available in Switzerland and I have needed 16 years to get my hand on one ! A big thank you to Kurt Haller for bringing me my first beer (Soproni) from this country directly from Hungary in 2003. And thanks to the 2 top Swiss beertickers - Thomas and Philipp - for all the other beers.
