from Erzbierschof - pitch black beer under a little but long lasting dark beige foam; nice lacework; complex and balanced aroma between notes of roasted coffee, vanilla, wood and Bourbon; full-bodied, some solid malt sweetness soon overwhelmed by a strong bitterness; velvety palate; light residual sweetness; long notes of licorice, roasted coffee, caramel, wood , chocolate and vanilla in the finish; warming alcohol notes as well - wonderful
