Comment:

courtesy of Greg Gaughan - pitch black coloured with a huge dark beige foam; powerful aroma of licorice, chocolate truffles and milk coffee; notes of marzipan develop while the beer gets warmer; dusty and fairly roasted; very thick and oily, robust malt body, creamy mouthfeel and with a fair bitterness; solid sweetness in the background; very long chocolatey finish with notes of prune, licorice and marzipan again - a beautiful, robust and quite complex beer
