Comment:

re-rate, 8/2008: pours a cloudy reddish colour with a little and elusive beige foam; a fair yet delicate smokey aroma of tea and melon; medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel; gently swet, moderate smokey finish with more notes of tea and watermelon - subtle and very well-made

11/2005: limited edition (1000 bottles) brewed especially for the asphalt mines of Travers; thanks to Jérôme for giving me a bottle before the official release - it pours a hazy copper-red colour with a fine and stable head; the aroma is principally characterized by its maltiness, showing notes of peanut butter; a gentle smokiness appears later while the beer gets warmer; medium-bodied with a soft, creamy mouthfeel; a respectable bitterness reminds that this is a BFM beer; the finish is dry, bitter and earthy with notes of ashes - one more very good (but this time surprisingly easy to drink) beer from Jérôme (5/7/7/4/15)
