Comment:

2001 vintage, sampled 1/2007 - pours a dark reddish-brown colour under a little but stable beige foam; lot of particules floating in the beer; the aroma is richly malty and fruity (figs and plums) with notes of wood; quite a lot of sweetness, slightöy madeirized, full and regular malt body; the finish is long and malty with more notes of dark fruits, some candi sugar and a touch of warming alcohol down the throat - very good though I'm not sure ageing improved it, on the contrary
